Taking Care of Your Ecosystem

Watering

Open terrariums should be evenly watered with a mist spray 2 - 3 times a week.

Closed terrariums create their own eco system which means it will water itself. However if there is no condensation visible on the glass, mist the terrarium.

Live moss in an open terrarium should be lightly sprayed daily to maintain its moistness. Be sure not to overwater as the terrarium does not have drainage holes.

Sunlight

Choose a well lit area inside. Encourage even growth by rotating the terrarium weekly. Avoid placing your terrarium directly next to a window as this will make your terrarium sweat & burn the plants. Don't place outside as the direct sunlight will kill the plants.

Maintenance

Prune any dead leaves & stems. Cut back plants to avoid overgrowing. Closed terrariums should be left open at least once a week to allow for fresh air & to avoid bacteria growing, which can lead to mould.
